Camera, microphone and connection fixes come first, because they are what most people are here for. Accounts, coins, reporting and privacy follow.
A black square or "camera blocked": allow the permission in the browser address bar, close other apps that use the camera, then reload. On iPhone, Safari asks per site; check Settings › Safari › Camera if it never asks.
No sound on the other side: check the microphone permission the same way, make sure you are not muted in the call, and that another tab or app is not holding the microphone.
Calls that will not connect or freeze: switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi, turn off a VPN, and try another browser. A page reload reconnects most of the time.
Tap Start, allow the camera, and a person online appears. No download, no app.
